Watch for this image "Imagine Flying" in the MAY/JUNE issue of The IOWAN magazine! One of 12 images selected for publication from the 2011 Iowa State Fair.
The studio in Lacona is still not complete - those that are in the area know that Jessica and her family recently moved a 100 year old house 3 miles to their farm for restoration and therefore finishing the studio has taken a step back. Jessica will continue to work from her in-home studio in Milo and on-location for clients. The in-home studio is open by appointment as as with any home it reflects some day-to-day chaos so no surprise drop-ins please. We suggest you call or email inquiries.

July 1st marks a BIG CHANGE! Jessica is going to FILM ONLY sessions! Starting with natural light offerings and then studio light in addition this fall. So bring on the smell of fixer and the lure of classic black and white- the only studio in the area offering such an exquisite treat! This fall may also bring color film but as yet the plan is to continue with black and white.
Jessica will also be creating 8x10 images with a century-old wooden 8x10 camera in natural light. These new images are created with paper negatives and then end as final 8x10 fiber prints with warm tones and brilliant contrast. Jessica is hands-on during this entire process, working in her temporary darkroom in Milo (the new house will have a dedicated darkroom - a creative blessing). Each print will be a bit unique as each is created by hand.
